Cost Xpert would like to announce that the company won the Bank of America annual Enterprise Award. The winners were selected from a pool of more than a hundred nominations. "This year's award winners underscore the enterprise, innovation and community service that entrepreneurs bring to San Diego's forward-looking economy," Said Liam McGee, President of Bank of America, Southern California.
"Year after year, our Enterprise Award winners reflect the energy and imagination of businesses in our community. Our panel of judges chose the company as an 'Enterprising' winner because they are committed to challenging the software paradigm of widespread over budget development by providing the market with tools and services that utilize the industry's best practices," added Bank of America Executive Vice President Doug Sawyer.
"Rapid revenue growth combined with an impressive client/customer list and the intrinsic usefulness of their products in having far-reaching implications led the committee to select the company as this year's 'Most Enterprising' in the over $2 million in revenue category," noted Bank of America Enterprise awards head judge Abby Margalith.
The five "Enterprise" award winners were introduced through a four minute video shown at the Insights Symposium at the San Diego Convention Center.

Cost Xpert, formerly a division of Marotz, Inc., would like to announce that the company has been named to Deloitte & Touche's prestigious "Fast 500" program, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in the United States. Rankings are based on five-year percentage growth in revenues from 1993-1997. The company ranked 57th on the list overall and is the 25th fastest growing private company. The company has also been selected for the 1999 Fast 500 list but the rankings will not be available until mid-2000. "Of the more than 22,000 high technology companies in the United States, the Fast 500 winners have proven they can compete successfully by consistently delivering technological wonders," said Mark Evans, managing director of Deloitte & Touche's High Technology Industry Group.
