Based on scientifically published methods and models and the analysis of approx. 35'000 customer projects Cost Xpert has identified and integrated 8 relevant components which are mandatory for reliable estimation.

From these areas project and customer specific data will be included in the Cost Xpert Tool Suite. A distinction must be that there are necessary and additional inputs. The first count of the project type, the process model, the customer environment and the hard facts. Additional inputs are soft facts and constraints which increase the estimation accuracy if considered.

To make the entries as simple as possible, our tool suite offers in the area of the project type, the process model and the technologies (customer area) selection fields with selection options as well as simple slider at constraints. In addition customer-specific data such as hourly rates, working hours, etc. is recorded once and is stored in the Tool Suite. In addition the quality and risk factors are taken into account automatically.

The intuitive workflow and wizard ensures the quick and correct use of the Cost Xpert Tool Suite, this gives our customers fully benefit from systematic use of methods even without specific knowledge. The link to pre-selected and entered data in the background associated with pre-calibration of our expert system already allows reliable estimates in the early phase with high accuracy, even without historical data to the customer and / or when little information is known.

A significant value for our customers is that simulations, analysis and re-estimates already happen by adapting a single factor, and thus the input workflow doesn't have to be passed through again.
